Trinity College London graded exams
Students on the Western programme are entered for Trinity College London graded examinations — an external, internationally recognised assessment, so progress is measured by somebody other than the school teaching it.
Rooms built for music
Acoustically treated practice rooms and a jam room where students play together, rather than ordinary classrooms with an instrument carried in.

A child can start without owning one. Instruments are available on site, which means a family can find out whether the interest is real before buying anything.
